I have a nephew (Nov 29, 2007)

My young brother has a one year old son. His name is Khoa Nguyen who is my first nephew. He is so cute and very smart. His face looked like his mother and now his face changes. I don't know who he looks like. However, my husband said that he looked like me. He's tall and has light skin.
He is learning to walk. When he walks, his hand is always forward. He tries to walk a round of his father's house. He likes to throw away everything in his hand. The first word that he said was "ba" (father). Now, he can say a short sentence. He usually laughes out as soon as he sees his father. His father is very happy about that. Further, he knows how to turn on and turn off TV. Sometime, he pretends to talk to someone by phone and smiles himself. It's funny.
I've never met him, I just saw him by webcam. I'd like to go back to my country and meet him.

MY BEST FRIENDS

WE WERE IN THE MEETING

I miss my best friends at Choray hospital

I left my best friends for one and a haft years. My best friends were Dr. Nguyet, Dr.Phuong, Dr. Nguyen, Ms Le, Mrs Ngan, Mrs Tuyen...We worked the same place at Gastroenterology and Hepatology department of Choray hospital. I miss them a lots. We had many memories. The memories overflowed in my heart and mind. I didn't forget them.
We usually went out to dinner after work or on birthday parties. Vietnamese foods in my country were very delicious. Our favorites were sea food and barbecue. There were not expensive. After eating, we sang karaoke. There were a lot of fun. I always was the worst singer. I was embarrassed of my singing when somebody heard me sing. So, I liked to stay and listen to everybody sing. Those days made me happy.

I have a wonderful husband

I was very lucky to meet a wonderful husband. We loved each other for a long time. My parents didn't agree me to get married with him but he still loved more. He called me everyday. He helped me to resolve difficult problems at my work. When I was stressed, he told me funny stories. He helped me to overcome difficulties in my life. There were a lot of difficulties for him to take me to the United States. He tried to do everything.
When I came to the U.S, I didn't have a job or any money. I stayed at home all time. I was very sad. He took me to go out eating, shopping...He used his savings to buy things which I liked. He gave me some money to spend. I always had money in my wallet. He gave me comfort.

He took me to enroll in an ESL class. I started to study English; it was difficult for me. He encouraged me to learn. He also helped me to do housework. He made me feel very happy. I'm thankful that God gave him to me. I hope we will happy forever and forever.

I was grateful to my parents

I was very grateful to my parents for everything. There were a lot of difficulties for them. My country was at war with China, France, Japan and America for many years. My father was a soldier of South Vietnam. He joined the army after he graduated from university. I grew up when the war ended. My family was very poor. My father was thrown in political prison. It was difficult for my mother to take care of my brother and me. She moved back to live with her mother- my grandmother. She had to work hard everyday.

After a few years, my father got set free. They became farmers and lived with my grandmother. When my two young brothers and I studied in the University, we needed a lot of money. My father had to do strenuous work. Sometimes, he had to work overnight. He did everything to earn money for us to study. Finally, we graduated from University. I hope I will make my parents proud. I know I can't pay my parents' debt of gratitude.
